Timeshare people 200, Eunice 1

February 1, 2006

Well, it’s looking like my 27th birthday is not going to suck like my 26th did. After many angry e-mails to the idiots that manage my timeshare, I was finally able to book a weekend in Cape Cod this spring. I am supremely excited about this because my parents are going with me, and they haven’t been back east since I was born.

That means that this birthday, I will be able to cross a number of things off of my lifelong to-do list:

1. Go to Boston, see where my parents grew up

2. See a game at every major league baseball stadium in the US — I can cross off Fenway Park

3. See a Red Sox game, at Fenway, with my dad

4. Meet my paternal grandmother (who is, by now, so far gone with her alzheimers that she probably doesn’t know who I am anymore)

5. Visit every state in the US — I can at least cross off Massachusetts, if not more

6. Eat New England Clam Chowder in New England.

I’ll be spending the whole weekend with my family, and that is already more than I can ask for, but it is so exciting that I have this to look forward to. Maybe I’ll meet a Bean Town cutie that I can take home with me. Ha ha ha
